Questions
Can one loading bay serve both double-deck trailers and standard trailers?
Yes, in most cases, provided the leveller has enough working range and a suitable lip. Double-deck trailers often sit lower than standard trailers, and some clients load pallets right up to the trailer doors, so a longer platform or a telescopic lip may be needed. We check the vehicles each client uses at survey and recommend a leveller that covers the full range without unsafe gradients.
What leveller length suits roll cages?
Roll cages are pushed by hand, so they need a gentle slope, which usually means a longer leveller than you would choose for powered pallet trucks alone. The longer the platform, the shallower the gradient for a given height difference. We measure the full range of trailer and double-deck bed heights at survey and recommend a length that keeps gradients manageable for your staff.
Do parcel hub doors need high-cycle springs?
Yes, in most cases. Sectional door springs are designed for a set number of opening cycles, and a hub door can reach that number far sooner than a typical warehouse door. Specifying springs for a high cycle count when the door is ordered, or when springs are next replaced, reduces breakages and unplanned downtime. We confirm each door's daily cycles at survey.
